HI! My name is Christin, I am a trendforecaster & creative consultant for fashion brands in the Nordics and the DACH region. I have a solid professional background of 10+ years in strategy consulting and project management, combined with a strong passion & well-trained eye for design and a certificate from the Scandinavian Academy of Fashion & Design (SAFD).

I am a firm believer that fashion is an invaluable asset when facing (future) challenges of daily life in our complex modern society. To me, brands play a key role in supporting and guiding consumers by translating macro trends into concrete fashion design. It's my mission to facilitate this process.

Method to the madness

Ever wondered why certain things are hot right now and others aren’t? Are you curious to know how the amalgamation of politics, the economy, society, youth culture, the arts and other elements and global phenomenons shape macro trends? Are you interested in what the future holds in terms of fashion and design trends and how it plays into the grand scheme of things? Then you came to the right place!



Brands and their role in consumerism

This is also where brands play a crucial role in consumerism. In order to fulfill the job of creating a better life for their customers and a better future for society on a whole, they need an in-depth understanding of the challenges consumers will be facing and how they will be affected by their surroundings in the upcoming years - be it economic downfall, global political tension, global warming or societal loneliness.

While the prevailing discourse usually circulates around what the consumer wants right now, brands can go even further with professionell trendforecasting. Through creating the right product at the right time, they can give consumers what the did not even know they want, but actually need. And by doing so, even actively guide their customers to act in a more beneficial way for mankind.

And I am here to help with just that. I made it my mission to translate grand scheme macro trends into concrete fashion trends and applicable designs and styles. Respecting a brand’s DNA and heritage is key to me, which is why I pay particular attention to customization in an individual, brand specific trendforecasting approach.

The functionality of fashion

To me, fashion is more than just a few layers of clothes to keep you warm. It’s a vehicle to combat not just the weather, but rather most of your daily challenges as well. It’s a way to express who you are and your view on life, your identity and sense of self within society, down to your feelings and mood on a given day. It has always been a reflection of the times people lived in and a testament to how they felt about it.

And so today it can help navigate the circumstances of the modern, fast-paced world that we live in, with all its hurdles and heartbreaks, but also all its breathtakingly beautiful joys and opportunities that want to be experienced fully.
